Posse also sets up some funny themed ganks – Lance made a video about his ganks once: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FLvff-9V2I

  1. I am faaaar too much of a noob to do the woods.

I find that undead settlement is more than enough of a challenge with the silly overleveled phantoms chucking vestage after vestage.

  2. Glad I get to sidestep this issue by not doing any pvp below meta, because people who go out of their way to grief are just anti-fun.

that, and playing a mage sub-meta is painful

  3. Looks like some fun stuff. Man, just looking and people twinking high wall makes me get the big sad, though.

I'm really looking forward to your Elden Ring content man, I know that at this point it can be hard to keep putting out content on this game. I hope Elden Ring isnt too copy/paste from DS3. Some of my favorite content of yours was you figuring out Dark Souls Re.

  4. Do you think you’ll stick around with dark souls 3 for a little while after elden ring comes out despite the imminent player count dropping or not? Especially with all the confirmed pvp news we’ve received, wouldn’t blame you for just leaving this game in the dust

  5. Non twink invasions are enjoyable at Sl21. An invader can get well kitted by using every item in undead settlement.(sidenote: There's also a blessed shield in settlement for passive regen).

  6. Ive got an invader at sl15+1. It's part of Saintriots and I's HAVIL, a fan made covenant. Honest And Virtuous Invaders of Lothric. Gotta beat the game and every boss w/o summoning using only weapons and armor from high wall, and you retain those rules for Invasions. Dsa? Nah, I'll be using a deep axe. Darkhand? Bandit knife for me. Rings, Estus , and infusions are allowed. Most of the time, I invade twink hosts , twink phantoms, or overleveled Havel monsters (and because I play mostly console, some unscaled phantoms). I do get pvers, and I try to give them a fun time. I'll happily leave my estus untouched if they're playing through.

At sl16, where I do settlement, I've got a more deadly build but it's quite unique. It uses Dmb (which I worked hard for) on raw caestus. I can taper my play accordingly from there. Tryhard gank? Throw on dusk crown, stack deep protection and sunlight ss, and buff with rose for an AR of 354. Causal pver? Pull out a storm ruler and Duke it out without poise. The level is so useful too. Can make use of the PvE and heal or buff it to be more deadly.

And at woods, I've got a 24+2 Quality build. With rings, I get 24/24 str dex. Perfect for mucking around and showing build diversity to newer players.

I've ran into these Fighter pl esque players way too much, and they are a majority at low level. The main difference between us and them is that we invade to enhance their experience, and not to grief. Awesome vid Amish вќ¤пёЏ

  7. Yeah I'm also really surprised with the amount of people not running blue sentinels, one in every 10 invasions I'll see someone running it. What's even worse I was watching some new people stream the game for the first time which is always exciting – but they have no idea of blue sentinels or any of the ways hacking can ruin the stream for them, very scary

  8. make a "legit" character for pvp has something special, I don't know how to explain it. This series of videos that you are doing with Mocha is so good, because you can see the complete context having the 2 points of view. Nice.

  9. You get a lot more out of the game if you play it as intended imo. Any time someone cheats or uses exploits, everyone there knows the deal. Everyone there knows it’s not a real win or loss. Even if you’re in denial, deep down you know.

  10. These sorts of HWOL twinks remind me of a quote from Skitter, "Those guys are straight out of the 'Fighter.pl School of Invading', they don't see it as a challenge to be overcome, they see it as a hilarious griefing engine.".

  11. Blue Sentinel is a life saver for sure. As much as I do find it annoying to get kicked by gankers for daring to Estus cancel, I guess I can accept that it's still a controversial issue, and I'll easily live with the occasional kick if it means not having to get infinitely stunlocked against a wall by an immortal teleporting Shrek cosplay who summons me into the woods despite being an Aldrich.

I'm glad to see so many people enjoying the last months of DS3! This game definitely has its issues but it'll be sad to finally say goodbye to it in a weird way. Looking forward to the new videos you're working on!
